कोल्हापूर: कागल तालुक्यातील सांगाव येथे शुक्रवारी कृषी विभागामार्फत एका विशेष कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. या कार्यक्रमात शेतकऱ्यांना 100 टक्के अनुदानावर फुले किमया या उन्नत सोयाबीन वाणाच्या ‘महाबीज’ बियाण्यांचे वाटप करण्यात आले. जिल्हाधिकारी अमोल येडगे यांच्या हस्ते हे बियाणे वाटप करण्यात आले.
यावेळी जिल्हाधिकारी श्री. येडगे यांनी उपस्थित लाभार्थी शेतकऱ्यांशी संवाद साधला. त्यांनी बीजप्रक्रियेचे महत्त्व विशद करताना सांगितले की, “उत्पन्नवाढ आणि रोगप्रतिकारशक्तीसाठी बीजप्रक्रिया अत्यावश्यक आहे. त्यामुळे प्रत्येक शेतकऱ्याने पेरणीपूर्वी बियाण्याची बीजप्रक्रिया करूनच पेरणी करावी.” त्यांच्या या सल्ल्याचे शेतकऱ्यांनी स्वागत केले.
या कार्यक्रमास उपविभागीय अधिकारी, तहसीलदार, तालुका कृषी अधिकारी, क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी, कृषी विभागाचे कर्मचारी आणि मोठ्या संख्येने शेतकरी उपस्थित होते. खरीप हंगामाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर राबवण्यात येत असलेल्या या योजनेमुळे गुणवत्तापूर्ण व शाश्वत उत्पादन क्षमता असलेले बियाणे शेतकऱ्यांना उपलब्ध होणार आहे. यामुळे तालुक्यातील शेतकऱ्यांना या बियाण्याचा मोठा फायदा होणार असल्याचे कृषी विभागाकडून सांगण्यात आले.
